Why is my SSL certificate not working?

There are several reasons why your domain is not considered safe.

1. You have not yet created an SSL certificate. In order for your domain to be considered a secure connection, an SSL certificate must be issued. If you have already connected your domain to your shop, you can generate an SSL certificate on the domain page. After you have done this, it may take a while until the certificate is issued. It is also possible that an error message will be displayed on the domain page. Do not let this unsettle you. As soon as you have a "https://..." connection in the shop, you have a certificate. connection in the shop, you have a valid SSL certificate.

2. You have created the SSL certificate with your domain provider. The SSL certificate must be created by another site in order to be trusted. If the SSL certificate is created at the site where the domain is hosted, this certificate is not trusted and therefore not secure. If this is the case, you can follow the procedure in step 1 to generate a valid SSL certificate.
